Not Even Cristiano Ronaldo Can Do It Alone

Your salespeople aren't gods. They're salespeople. If you expect them to sell all by themselves, you're making a mistake.

Salesperson's hands handing a product to a customer over the counter

Your salespeople aren't gods.

They're salespeople.

And if you expect them to sell all by themselves, you're making a mistake.

Here's why.

I recently read Cristiano Ronaldo's biography.

Something stuck with me.

It wasn't a goal.

It wasn't a trophy.

It wasn't a celebration.

It was the level of obsession he has with his preparation.

The guy takes five naps a day.

Eats six times, every three or four hours.

And when he gets a good pass, he can do crazy things.

But there's a reality:

Not even Cristiano Ronaldo scores without help.

He can sleep like a monk.

Eat like clockwork.

But if no one passes him the ball, no goal.

And that's when I thought about your salespeople.

Because many business owners love to demand goals.

But they forget their salespeople need opportunities.

They think everything can be fixed with a more proactive salesperson.

It can't.

It also depends on someone passing the ball.

Because your salespeople don't perform miracles.

And it's not fair to lose sales when no one passes them the ball.

I've seen it too many times.

Empty stores 8 hours a day.

Brands nobody remembers.

Businesses nobody knows exist.

And still, the salesperson is expected to sell.

Think about it:

Are you asking someone to close sales who isn't even getting decent opportunities?

Are you expecting them to do all the work alone?

Because it's one thing to sell when a customer is interested.

And quite another to have to go out and find them.

Make them know you.

Get them to trust you.

And convince them to buy from you.

Without opportunities, even a good salesperson looks bad.

But there's another way: when the customer comes to you.

Then the conversation changes.

You're not the one begging for their attention.

They showed interest.

And like that, selling is much easier.

Then, yes.

The salesperson can do their job.

Can it be achieved?

Absolutely.

How?

By staying top of mind with your customers.

With content.

Like this.

So.

Do you like these emails?

Can you imagine something like this for your company?

Emails that generate real opportunities for your salespeople.

That make customers come to you.

That bring past buyers back.

If you're interested, reply Cristiano.

Serving is the way.
