A Garden on Fire

Dan Kennedy was at home in Phoenix.

It was just another day.

One of those days when you don't want anyone to bother you.

He had work to do.

And zero desire to open the door for anyone.

BANG BANG BANG.

Loud knocking on the door.

Another insurance salesman or an Avon lady, he thought.

So he decided to ignore it.

But the guy didn't leave.

He kept knocking.

Until Dan heard noise from behind the house.

The man jumped the fence.

He crossed the yard and stood in front of the glass door.

Dan glared at him, furious, a vein in his forehead about to burst.

How dared he trespass onto his property?

Then the man shouted:

Your garden is on fire!

In that instant, that intruder became the most important man of the day.

Because he wasn't selling.

He was helping.

And now let's be honest.

Have you felt that rejection from your customers?

That moment when you realize they're no longer listening to you.

They ignore you.

They turn away.

They walk in another direction.

And you're left talking to yourself.

Believing the customer is the problem.

That they don't appreciate what you're selling.

The customer flees from those who sell to them.

But they approach those who can help them solve a real problem.

The difference lies in your intention.

If you feel your customers don't value what you're selling, listen to this:

Sincerely,

Carlos

P.S. Remember: service is the way.

PS2. Let's talk.
