You've surely heard you should drink 2 liters of water a day.
That it improves your health.
Your focus.
Your energy.
You saw it on Instagram.
Your friend with the giant water bottle told you.
And you saw it plastered on a motivational bottle saying, “You can do it.”
But here's the important question:
Do you drink 2 liters of water every day?
Could you swear you do?
Relax.
I’ll answer for you.
No.
You don't drink 2 liters of water a day.
Not even if you know it's important.
Not even if you've heard it a thousand times.
Why?
Because you have a life.
You pay taxes.
You waste time in traffic.
You get distracted by other things.
And so, even if you know that behavior matters, you don't do it.
Well, well, well.
The exact same thing happens to your employees.
You want them to provide exceptional customer service.
And so you train them.
You give them support materials.
Maybe you even pay them incentives for good service.
But it doesn't happen.
Why?
Because service actions aren't part of their daily routine.
Just like those 2 liters of water for you.
It's a good idea.
But it doesn't live in their routine.
And there's the problem.
The problem isn't that they don't know it.
It's that it's not part of their day.
Because knowing something isn't enough.
Hearing it in a training isn't either.
Having it in a manual is even less so.
If it doesn't become part of what they do every day, it gets forgotten.
It gets postponed.
It gets abandoned.
Like water.
And it's a waste.
Because service matters. A lot.
It can save you from having to beg customers to buy from you.
Or from always relying on price.
There's a way to actually drink 2 liters of water a day.
And also to make your team genuinely serve the customer.
They're called rituals.
Simple actions that make service a part of daily life.
If you want a guide to start applying this with your team, reply "water" and I'll send it to you.
